Terms of Use
The rules for using Bluething: what we offer, what we expect from users and how we look after your wedding.

Acceptance
These Terms apply to the Bluething app, to this website and to the invitations and links created with it. By creating a wedding, answering an invitation or using any part of the service, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use the service. This is a translation: if it differs from the Portuguese version, the Portuguese version prevails.
What Bluething is
Bluething is an app to plan and enjoy a wedding. The couple creates the wedding and manages the digital invitation, the guest list and RSVPs, the seating plan, the budget, vendors, the calendar and the gift registry. Guests receive the invitation, confirm attendance, find their table and share photos and messages on the Feed and the Wall.
Bluething is an organizing tool. We are not a wedding planner, travel agency, payment intermediary or provider of any wedding service.
Accounts and access
Couples can start without an account, but a wedding is only published and permanently kept once it is linked to an account with email and password. Drafts that never get an account are deleted automatically after a while.
Guests can use Bluething without an account: the invitation code or link and a simple identification (name and phone number) are enough to RSVP or post photos.
- You must be 18 or older to create a wedding or subscribe to a plan.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for actions taken with your account.
- Account information must be truthful and kept up to date.
Couples and guests
The couple decides who to invite and what to publish. When adding or importing guests (from the phone’s contacts, a pasted list or a spreadsheet), the couple confirms they have a legitimate relationship with these people and will use their data only for the wedding.
Guests control their own answers: they accept or decline, add companions and dietary restrictions, and may ask the couple (or us) to correct or delete their data.
The couple can moderate the wedding: remove Feed and Wall posts, merge duplicate entries and remove guests.
Photos, messages and other content
You keep ownership of everything you upload (photos, messages, invitation texts). So the service can work, you grant us a limited, free, non-exclusive license to store, process (for example, create smaller versions of photos) and show that content to the people of the same wedding, only while it remains on Bluething.
You may not upload content that:
- infringes other people’s rights, such as image, privacy or copyright;
- is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, violent or sexually explicit;
- contains viruses, spam or attempts to deceive others.
We may remove content that breaks these Terms and suspend whoever posted it.
Gift registry and Pix
Gifts are paid by Pix (Brazil’s instant payment system) directly to the key provided by the couple. Bluething does not receive, hold or transfer money and charges no fee on gifts.
The Pix key, gift amounts and delivering what was promised are the couple’s responsibility. Questions about a transfer should be handled with the couple and the payer’s bank.
Plans and payments
Bluething has free features. Paid plans, when available, are purchased and billed only through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, under each store’s rules for payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds. Nothing is charged through this website.
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled in the store settings. Canceling a plan does not delete the wedding: paid features stop at the end of the period already paid for.
Photo storage and full album
Feed and Wall photos are available in the app. Sixty days after the wedding date, the high-resolution versions move to long-term storage; lighter versions stay in the app.
The couple can request the full high-resolution album at any time. Preparing it may take a few hours; when it is ready, we email download links valid for 7 days. We recommend keeping your own copy.
Acceptable use
- Do not try to access other people’s weddings, accounts or data.
- Do not use bots, scripts or abnormal volumes of requests against the service.
- Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app.
- Do not use Bluething to send bulk messages unrelated to the wedding.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Bluething running smoothly, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance or because of third-party failures (such as hosting and the app stores). We may improve, change or retire features; when a change matters to paying users, we will give reasonable notice.
Liability
Vendors, venues, planners and other wedding services are hired by the couple directly from third parties. Bluething only helps organize this information and is not responsible for their services.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights guaranteed by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code or other laws that cannot be waived by contract.
Termination
The couple can delete the wedding in the app at any time. Deleting it removes the wedding, the guest list and the stored photos, and cannot be undone. To delete the whole account, write to privacidade@example.com.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, stating the reason whenever possible.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of the page; relevant changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute related to them will be settled in the courts of the consumer’s place of residence.
